LED Work Lights Recalled Due to Shock and Fire Hazard

Ace Hardware has issued a recall for approximately 15,000 Clamp-On LED Work lights due to a cord bushing inside the base that could fail, letting the cord wiring be pulled out of the base, exposing bare wires.

The recalled lights measure 3 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep and 2.25 inches high and have the model number “DC004” and date code “8/13” stamped on the back of the light base. The light has a silver plastic lamp head with black rubber sides and features 8 LED lights on one side. The lights were sold between September and December 2013. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lights and return them to an Ace Hardware store for a full refund.

Check to see if your LED work light is included in the recall.
