FCC Requests Comments on Experiments of Service-Based Technology Transitions

highwire

The Federal Communications Commission is seeking comments from the public on a variety of experiments and data collection initiatives that will review how customers are affected by technology transitions. These transitions are being used to update the nation’s communications networks.

The Technology Transitions Order invites service providers to submit their proposals to test real-world applications of planned changes that would affect consumers.  By establishing the Technology Transitions Order, the FCC can establish an outline for service providers to run their experiments and the submitted proposals will be evaluated on value-based conditions, presumptions and other factors.
