Agilent Technologies and University of Michigan Collaborate on Worldwide Solar-Car Competition

Agilent Technologies Inc. and the University of Michigan announced Agilent’s support of the university’s solar-car team. Agilent will provide a 200-MHz capacitive touch-screen oscilloscope as well as a handheld oscilloscope and a triple-output power supply to support the team’s solar-car engineering program, from design through competition.

Forty-seven teams from 26 countries will gather in Australia on Oct. 6 for the 2013 World Solar Challenge, the world’s largest competition for solar electric vehicles. The 3000-kilometer race from Darwin to Adelaide requires that each car get 100 percent of its energy from the sun or from the kinetic energy of the vehicle.
