IQD’s Next Generation VCXO Delivers Small Size Combined With Low Jitter

IQD has introduced a new IQXV-40 series Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) that satisfies market demand for smaller package styles and low jitter. Measuring just 3.2 x 2.5mm and housed in a hermetically sealed package with a grounded metal lid for low EMI radiation, the new model offers a period jitter of 100ps peak-to-peak maximum. The IQXV-40 has been developed specifically for applications such as clock recovery in set-top boxes, DVD players and digital imaging as well as macro base stations.

The series is available for a range of supply voltages: IQXV-40 5.0V; IQXV-41 3.3V; IQXV-42 2.5V and the IQXV-43 1.8V; any frequency within the range 1.25 to 54MHz can be specified. The new model also offers the benefit of operation over the wider industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C whilst still delivering frequency stability down to ±20ppm. Frequency pulling is specified at ±50ppm minimum over a pulling range of 2.5V ±2.5V.
