U.S. National Toxicology Program Releases Draft Reports on Radiofrequency Energy Exposure

The National Institute of Health’s National Toxicology Program (NTP) has released two draft reports on the potential risks associated with exposure to cellphone radiofrequency radiation.

The draft reports summarize research conducted by the NTP in an effort to better understand the potential adverse health effects on humans from prolonged cellphone use. Specifically, the studies evaluated the toxicity and carcinogenicity of cellphone-emitted radiation on rats and mice from exposure from two system modulations, Global System for Mobile Communications and Code Division Multiple Access.

A Dash of Maxwell’s: A Maxwell’s Equations Primer – Part Two

Maxwell’s Equations are eloquently simple yet excruciatingly complex. Their first statement by James Clerk Maxwell in 1864 heralded the beginning of the age of radio and, one could argue, the age of modern electronics.

The NTP is inviting public comments on the draft reports and has scheduled a peer review meeting on March 28 in Research Triangle Park, NC to provide a forum for comments and discussions on their findings. Read additional information on filing comments or attending the peer review meeting.
