UL Releases New Edition of UL 217 Standard for Smoke Alarms

UL has released a new edition of UL 217, the standard for smoke alarms. The 7th edition can be purchased from the UL website. The 7th edition includes new requirements for: multi-criteria smoke alarms, extended temperature range testing, lower beam limits for liquid fuel fire, smoldering smoke test clarification, and 21 day Corrosion Test.
