42-Inch JVC Flat Panel Televisions Recalled Due to Tip Over Risk

AmTRAN JVC TV Recall |In Compliance Magazine

AmTRAN Video has recalled 27,000 JVC 42-inch flat panel televisions because the stand neck can crack, and the television can unexpectedly tip over.  The company has received 16 reports of cracked stands.

The recalled model, EM42FTR, has a serial number starting with T and was sold from February 2014 to August 2014 at nationwide retails stores and online. The model and serial number can be found on the bottom left on the back of the television. Consumers using the stand should immediately remove the television from the stand, place it in a safe location and contact the company for replacement stand neck. Consumers with a wall-mounted set should also request a replacement stand neck for future use.
