381,000 Bladeless Portable Electric Heaters Recalled by Dyson

A recall has been issued for Dyson bladeless portable electric heaters due to a fire hazard from an electrical short. The heaters can overheat posing a fire hazard. The company is aware of 82 reports of heaters short-circuiting and overheating.

The recall includes all Dyson Hot heaters and models AM04 and AM05 Hot+Cold heaters.  The heaters are 23 inches tall and have no external fan blades. The heaters were available in the following colors: silver, black and silver, blue and gray, gray and silver, pink and gray, purple and gray and white and gray and were sold at major retailers from September 2011 to March 2014. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled heater, unplug it and contact Dyson for a free repair.
