12 Brands of Dehumidifiers Recalled Due to Serious Fire and Burn Hazards

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall of over 2.2 million dehumidifiers manufactured by Gree Electric Appliances, under 12 brand names after they have received reports of 165 incidents, including 46 fires and $2.15 million in property damage.

This recall involves 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 65 and 70-pint dehumidifiers with brand names Danby, De’Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima.  If you are the owner of one of the recalled dehumidifiers, it should immediately be turned off and unplugged. Gree is offering a full refund for these recalled models.
