Lawn Mowers and Gas Trimmers Recalled

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued recalls for walk-behind lawn mowers due to an injury hazard and gas trimmers for a fire hazard.

Exmark has recalled over 7000 commercial walk-behind lawn mowers for an injury hazard as the mower’s blade can break and injure the user and others nearby.  Consumers should stop using the mower immediately and contact Exmark for a free repair.

Toro is recalling their TimeMaster and TuftMaster lawn mowers for an injury hazard. Approximately 36,000 mowers are included in the recall due to the possibility of the mower’s blade breaking and causing injury to the user and others nearby. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mowers and call Toro for a free repair.

efco branded gas trimmers from Emak USA are being recalled due to the possibility that the muffler on the engine can break during use and pose a fire hazard. Three models are included in the recall and are red or gray and have either bike or loop handle configuration. The trimmers should not be used and be returned to and authorized efco dealer for a free muffler replacement kit.
