The IEEE-SA has launched the Indian Low-Voltage (LVDC) Forum to assess how LVDC will impact emerging and developing markets and also recommend appropriate global standards in the development of microgrids, commercial buildings and homes.
The LVDC Forum will focus on products, systems and solutions up to 1100V DC and will assist in technology application and demonstration projects to understand how LVDC standards need to advance the commercialization of the technology. The forum currently includes 30 global technology manufacturers and suppliers, research organizations, academic institutions and government agencies.
