Fan Heaters Sold at Bed Bath & Beyond Recalled for Safety Hazard

kul fan heaterCE North America is recalling 28,000 KUL fan heaters that were sold exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond. The fan heaters can overheat, posing a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported, but CE North America has received four reports of the fan heaters overheating and catching on fire.

This recall includes KUL small, black portable fan heaters. They were made in China and sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond stores nationwide and online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com from August 2015 through October 2015 for about $20.  The KUL logo is printed on the front bottom of the heaters next to the power dial. The recalled fan heaters can be identified by a label on the bottom of the heater, which has model number “KU39229” and “Date: 0515” in the lower right-hand corner.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fan heaters and contact CE North America for instructions on returning the recalled heaters for a full refund.
